Call for Speakers for January 2028 Conference

The 2028 Conference will be held January 11-13 at the Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash.
The conference draws 190+ parks and recreation professionals from all over New England and over 40 exhibitors. This is regarded as one of the top conferences in New England.
The conference setup is as follows; three or four sessions are running during each time slot, with four different tracts. The tracts are administration, programming, maintenance and parks. We are currently seeking speakers on topics that fall into these categories. Session lengths are 60 minutes, including time for questions & answers, and are worth .1 CEUs.
The Committee will review all requests according to the Speaker Expense Policy:
NNERPC SPEAKER EXPENSE POLICY:
Professional = a member of a Northern New England State Association or NRPA.
Speaker = an individual whose primary profession is to provide speaking engagements based on their expert experience.
Professionals from New England (ME, NH, VT, MA)
There is no honorarium/reimbursement to a recreation/park professional, whether in a private, public, or non-profit department/agency.
Professionals from outside New England:
Reimbursement at the prevailing IRS standard mileage rate.
Maximum one-night accommodation at the conference hotel.
Maximum two meals at the conference hotel.
Honorariums and reimbursement for speakers from New England:
Reimbursement at the prevailing IRS standard mileage rate.
Other transportation if less costly and/or more convenient.
Maximum one-night accommodation at the conference hotel.
Maximum two meals at the conference hotel.
Maximum of $500 per 1 hour session.
Honorariums and reimbursement for speakers from outside New England:
Reimbursement at the prevailing IRS standard mileage rate.
Other transportation if less costly and/or more convenient.
Maximum two-night accommodation at the conference hotel, if presenting more than one session.
Maximum six meals at the conference hotel if presenting more than one session.
Maximum of $500 per 1 hour session.
Keynote & Endnote Speakers:
Reimbursement at the prevailing IRS standard mileage rate.
Other transportation if less costly and/or more convenient.
Maximum two-night accommodation at the conference hotel.
Maximum six meals at the conference hotel.
Maximum of $3,000 for providing the keynote or endnote. As this is our max, this would need to include all travel expenses.
The executive board approves any and all expenses within the annual conference budget, including speaker fees, travel, and lodging. All speakers are responsible for booking their travel requirements including airfare, rental car or any off site lodging. If lodging, meals or mileage are requested through the conference, all associated fee's would be deducted from the final payment before submitting payment to speakers. Payments will be made only after all invoices are submitted to the Treasurer.
If you are interested in speaking at our conference please follow the below steps:
1) Login or Create a household/account

3) Answer all questions and attachments.
4) Email a head shot photograph to be used in advertising and marketing to speaker coordinator (email below)
The conference committee will meet in June to discuss topics and appropriate speakers. Speakers will be notified by the end of June if they were chosen.
