The success of your emotional/behavioral management program doesn't start at staff training - it starts when you review and re-evaluate the 3P’s: your policies, procedures, and paperwork. Do your current 3P’s enhance or detract from efficient, flexible handling of situations? Do they support staff in being solution-oriented or hamper their efforts? Join Emily to look at the foundations for successful programming through the 3P lens, including: information you collect during the application/enrollment process, website/marketing/messaging that encourages applications from your intended population and clarifies inclusion expectations, the fine print that explains policies to parents/guardians, and much more. We'll also dig into examples of complicated behavioral situations and how specific language and policy elements will assist with resolving those challenges. You'll leave with actionable ideas to edit your fine (and not-so-fine) print in a way that sets everyone up for success.
