Kate DeAngelis is the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for Lexington Recreation and Community Programs. Kate is passionate about providing recreation and leisure opportunities for individuals of all ages and ability levels and has experience providing inclusion services, adaptive programs, implementing staff trainings, and supervising inclusion staff.
Kate has sat on the Executive Board for Massachusetts Parks and Recreation Association as the Therapeutic Recreation representative for the past four years and has conducted monthly meetings for the association, brought in professional development opportunities and is supported by a committee.
Kate enjoys traveling around Massachusetts, speaking to parks and recreation professionals to help bring inclusion into their organization, and hopes to continue working with departments to increase access, inclusion, and belonging across New England.
